Guild Training International is the training arm of the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists, the UK’s largest trade body and provider of insurance for the professional beauty sector.

So with a GTi course at Aviva Academy, you really are training with the professionals. All courses are fast track.

Theory is all completed in your own time online, this normally takes 1-2 weeks depending on the time you commit to it.

Once you have completed and passed all theory, you will then partake in practical training at Aviva Academy. This is normally 4 to 9 hours hands on training, depending on the course. We also offer further mentoring days to help expand your training further.

At Aviva, the flexible online learning combined with intensive practical training suits many busy schedules, it can fit around family and current work commitments, its convenient and we like to keep classes small for a more one to one learning within our teaching technique. Manicures can be found on nearly every treatment menu, and are often the bread and butter of many businesses. The manicure offers the therapist or technician a whole range of options to suit nearly every client. This course will teach you everything you need to know about offering a professional manicure, and includes a practical training session and assessment.

Gel Nail
Extensions

Theory & Practical | 15 hours

The GTi Gel Nails course covers how to complete gel extensions as well as the maintenance, repair and removal of the treatment in order to provide a full gel nail extension service. The course also shows you how to adapt your treatment to suit varying clients’ needs. Resources with clear diagrams, images, video clips and voice over are included to give you the best possible learning experience. Reception, consultation and aftercare guidance is covered as well as contra-indications to treatment. The course includes online theory as well as a practical training session at a location of your choice, designed to give you the confidence and ability to offer a full gel nail extension treatment.

Pedicure
Course

Pedicures are a fantastic way to get new clients into the salon. It is a treatment that is often given as a treat, or is booked to make tired toes look respectable. Once a client has been made to look and feel better, they are much more inclined to repeat the process, and you will hopefully have gained a customer for life. The GTi Pedicure course teaches you how to complete a professional pedicure treatment and includes a practical training and assessment day.

Aviva Pro-Gel Nail Art Workshop

This artistic workshop will teach you how to create beautiful nail art designs. You will learn some free hand nail art, nail foils, water decals, spider gel, ombre nails, marbling and Sharpie watercolour. This workshop will run on Mondays for 4 hours

Aviva Pro Gel Conversion Course

£99 (free when you spend over £150 on Aviva Pro-Gel)

This course will enable you to learn how to use the Aviva Pro-Gel Nail system. You will learn everything you need to know to perform the perfect set of Gel nails or extensions. You will learn about every product within the Aviva Pro-Gel range. Expert advice, tips, and some nail art tutorials too.

Polish

The GTi Gel Polish course covers how to complete gel polish application and demonstrates the correct removal techniques. The course also covers reception and consultation, contra-indications to treatment and aftercare advice. The course is beautifully written and accompanied by images and diagrams to give you the best possible learning experience.

Pre-requisites: You will be required to complete the GTI Professional Standards course and you will need to hold a relevant Manicure/Pedicure/Nail Enhancement qualification

Enrolment details:

Once you have booked your training course and paid the enrolment and theory fee of £25 with The Guild, you will be able complete the theory modules for the course right away. Once you have completed the theory modules, a practical session code will be displayed on the final module which you can pass on to your chosen training school. When you have successfully completed your practical training, your tutor will pass you and a GTi Certificate will be available for you to download or purchase on your portal.

Don’t forget, you can obtain Guild insurance upon completion of your course with a discount of £25 if you upgrade within 3 months of enrolling!

Refund policy:

We have a clear and fair refund policy that is published below and on the Gti website. A full refund will be offered less the cost of any supporting training materials that have already been despatched (books, DVDs, kits etc) on any training course order that is cancelled within 7 days providing the student has not started/opened the first theory module of the course. Students may cancel the course up to 28 days after ordering provided they have not started/opened the first theory training module of the course. The refund available in this case is 75% of the cost of the course less the cost of any supporting training material that has already been despatched (books, DVDs, Kits etc) After 28 days of the order, or once students have successfully completed the first theory training module and started the second theory training module, whichever is the soonest, no refund is available.

All certificates for GTi courses are issued by Guild Training International on completion.
